FBI & U.S. Fingerprinting

FD-258 fingerprint cards and step-by-step guidance for FBI Identity History Summary checks - for waivers, U.S. jobs, licensing and immigration.

FBI Identity History Summary Checks, Without the Guesswork

U.S. immigration attorneys, state licensing boards, employers and the U.S. Department of Justice all rely on the FBI Identity History Summary (commonly called an FBI background check). From Toronto, the route runs through properly taken fingerprints - and the details decide whether your application sails through or bounces.

When You Need an FBI Check

  • U.S. waiver applications (I-192) after a past refusal or record
  • U.S. employment, professional licensing and nursing boards
  • U.S. immigration and visa petitions handled by your attorney
  • Adopting from the U.S. or living/working in the U.S. as a Canadian
  • Personal record review before travelling or applying

What We Do for You

  1. Take FBI-quality prints. Rolled and flat impressions on the official FD-258 card (or digitally, where the receiving channel accepts electronic capture).
  2. Complete the card correctly. ORI fields, personal data, signatures - errors here are the most common cause of rejection, so we fill the card with you.
  3. Guide your submission. We walk you through submitting to the FBI directly or through an FBI-approved channeler for faster electronic processing, whichever fits your situation.
  4. Extra sets on hand. Most clients order two or more cards so a spare is ready if any agency wants its own copy.
Good to know: the FBI's own mail-in processing and U.S. channeler timelines vary; electronic channels are usually much faster than paper. We will help you pick the right route for your deadline during your visit.

Also need a Canadian (RCMP) check for the same application? Bundle it with digital fingerprinting in a single visit.
